Dr. Gail D’Onofrio presents, "The Opioid Epidemic: A Practice & Policy Perspective." D'Onofrio is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and founding Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine. She is internationally known for her work as an independent investigator in drug and alcohol research and is recognized leader in Emergency Medicine and Addiction Medicine. The Lourie Lecture is jointly sponsored by Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and the Central New York Community Foundation, Inc., and is administered by the Center for Policy Research.
