On October 18, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Tara Sonenshine kicked off the annual symposium of Syracuse University's Association of Public Diplomacy Scholars (APDS). Secretary Sonenshine brought to life the theme of this year's symposium "The Politics of Change" with expert insights on the future challenges and opportunities public diplomacy faces in its global engagement efforts.
